• Henrietta DuCap is an author of poetry and fiction from Michigan. Her first novel, a historical fiction piece for young readers titled The Murrasons’ Barn, was published in 2025 through Hidden Shelf Publishing House.

I have been writing fiction and poetry since I was very young, with my first publication in a friend’s yearbook when we were in middle school. Since then, I’ve had shorter works published in a variety of literary journals. My middle-grade historical novel, The Murrasons’ Barn: Escaping Slavery in Bleeding Kansas. This title released on October 14, 2025!
